What we do

Though we share Jesus in many ways, the most effective is building friendships. We are breaking down the barriers people have put up against "religion", by being available and real with people whoever they are.

We try to have a CMA presence at as many biking events as possible throughout the year. At some we run a Holy Joe's Café, serving tea, coffee and cold drinks. This is open 'till the early hours, or 24hrs at some rallies and has become a place for people to relax, chat about the good and bad times and talk about their problems and worries, knowing that they will be listened to and not laughed at. We see a great need at these rallies and pray that the freedom only Christ can give will touch and change many lives.

We produce our own magazine "Chainlink" three times per year (electronic versions can be found in the Downloads section of this website), and electronic prayer letter "Fasttrack". We also have tracts and material for everyday use, which we find helpful to express Jesus.

The CMA tithes (gives 10%) of its income to other charitable organisations, in accordance with the Bible and as an expression of giving in return for what we believe God has given to us. Follow the following link for details of our tithes.

Structure

The CMA has a membership which is spread across the UK in the form of local Branches. Each of which has a chairman, secretary and treasurer who are responsible for the day to day running of the Branch.

The local Branch is responsible for the work of the CMA in its own area which includes making contact with local motorcyclisis, other bike clubs, youth groups, etc., anywhere the Lord may lead them to be a witness for Him. They also organise prayer and Bible studies, social events, bike runs and charity events - each branch doing what is most suited to its own area.

The National leadership structure consists of an Executive headed by a President, and other appointed members who are responsible for the every day running of the CMA , seeking God's vision and direction to serve and encourage members in their work.

We are also a registered charity (number 1080911) and have trustees who oversee the charity. Our constitution, as approved by the Charity Commision, governs the legal aspects of our charitable status, and our rules how we apply them.
